The program officially launched in Egypt in 2002 with the hope to expand communication between the people of the United States and Egypt in order to promote mutual understanding and respect.
What is YES Program?
It is a program where the students will spend a year in USA with a hosting family and the they are going to attend a school in their community alongside their American peers.
What are the Eligibility criteria?
1- Participant must hold the Egyptian nationality. (Note: Lots of other nationalities can also apply but every country has different admission criteria and different application link)
2-Participant must demonstrate Leadership skills.
3-Participant and his parents must NOT have applied on any immigration programs to the United States of America.
4-Participant must be enrolled in grade 9, 10, or 11 in the school year 2022/2023.
5-Participant must be born between 15/1/2006 and 15/8/2008
6-Participant must maintain grades of 80% or higher in the past two years 2020/2021 and 2021/2022
Where will the student live?
All YES students live with host families who have been carefully screened and selected. Host families receive formal orientation and training to introduce them to cultural differences and to prepare them for the hosting experience.
What costs are covered?
1- Program fees
2- Pocket money
3- Staying with the host family
4- School attendance
5- Medical insurance
Note: The year that you are going to spend there will be repeated when you are back
(Ex: If you are going to 11 grade and you are accepted in the program after returning you will still have to go to grade 11)
